Moonlight Beach Overlook, Encinitas, is a charming overlook spot famous for its compass ground and beautiful view to Moonlight Beach. While its a public park, we hope its a magical moment for you and your partner as you propose with the waves in the background!
WHERE TO MEET:
This address will lead you directly to the beach parking lot across the street from the overlook spot. Be sure to account for traffic and parking—give yourself plenty of time and plan your route in advance!
On weekends especially, the lot tends to fill. Once parked, walk across the street and go up the stairs to the Moonlight Beach Overlook spot.
WHERE TO PARK:
There is parking in the beach parking lot on the other side of the street of the overlook spot. If the parking lot is full, try to find parking on the neighborhood streets behind the overlook spot!
Once parked, cross the street and go up the stairs into Moonlight Beach Overlook. This is the best entrance as you'll see the set up straight ahead.

Your proposal will be all set for your arrival! Rest assured, we'll be nearby to ensure everything remains undisturbed and ready for your arrival.
Once you go up the stairs to the overlook spot, walk straight and you'll arrive at the entrance of Moonlight Beach Overlook!

Allow for extra travel time. Traffic and unforeseen delays can happen, so it's wise to leave at least 15 minutes earlier than what GPS suggests. Planning ahead is key!
